Montag, 01.08.2016 um 19.00 Uhr Vortrag INTERBRIGADAS (neurotitan)
Seit dem Verschwinden von 43 Studenten*innen der Mexikanischen Schule für Lehrerausbildung (Escuela normal rural de Ayotzinapa) 2014, der derzeitig massiven Repression der Proteste der kritischen Lehrer*innen und weiteren Fällen von ungeahndeten Gewaltverbrechen, die aus kriminellen Strukturen heraus, innerhalb und außerhalb Mexikos passieren, haben sich Tausende mit den Betroffenen solidarisiert. Die weiter anhaltenden Gräueltaten nähren den Willen der Mexikaner*innen zum Kampf. Die Wut vieler hat sich neben den Protesten in den Straßen von Mexiko-Stadt und anderer Bundesstaaten auf eine besondere Weise manifestiert: Sie findet sich wieder in einem künstlerischen Ausdruck von Farben und Kreativität, der das authentische Gesicht des Widerstandes zeichnet.

Due to the disappearance of 43 students from the Mexican School of Teacher training (Escuela Normal Rural de Ayotzinapa) in 2014 and the current massive repression of critical teachers' protests and other cases of unpunished violent crimes in Mexico - arising from criminal structures inside and outside the state - thousands of people all over the world have shown solidarity. The ongoing violence nurses the will of many Mexicans to fight, the rage is not only expressed in the many protests on the streets of Mexico City and other federal states but in an artistic expression of colors and creativity, which draws the authentic image of the resistance.
Mittwoch, 03.08.2016 um 18.00 Uhr Bericht und Diskussion UNABHÄNGIGE KUNSTRÄUME IN BERLIN UND MEXIKO CITY (VETOMAT)
In den Räumen des unabhängigen und selbstverwalteten Kunst- und Siebdruck Kollektivs Vétomat begann der Austausch zwischen den Nuestro Barrio Kollaborateuren. Hier treffen sie sich an diesem Abend, stellen ihre Arbeit und Projekträume vor und diskutieren die Situation der freien Szene in beiden Städten. Diese Diskussion wird auch einen Blick auf die bevorstehende Entmietung des Vétomat Kollektivs aus den Räumen in der Scharnweberstraße 35, die sie seit 10 Jahren bespielen, und die aktuelle Situation im Friedrichshainer Nordkiez werfen. Mit anschließender Küfa und Konzert.
Wednesday, 03.08.2016 at 7pm Review and Discussion INDEPENDENT ART SPACES IN BERLIN AND MEXICO CITY (VETOMAT)
The exchange between Nuestro Barrio collaborators began in the space of the independent and self-managed art- and screenprint collective Vétomat. Here they will meet tonight, present their work and project spaces and discuss the situation of the independent scene in both cities. This discussion will also focus on the upcoming vacating of the Vétomat collective from the premises in Scharnweberstraße 35 which they are using for 10 years and the current situation of the Friedrichshain Nordkiez (northern part). Followed by Küfa (soli-food) and concert.
Donnerstag, 04.08.2016 um 17.00 Uhr Zeichnen-Workshop mit FERAL (Neurotitan)
Die Nuestro Barrio Gastkünstler des Kollektivs FERAL aus Mexico City verbindet, dass sich die Künstler*Innen vornehmlich mit dem Medium Zeichnung beschäftigen. Dabei überschreiten sie die konventionellen Grenzen des Zeichnens und erweitern das Medium um experimentelle Raumerfahrungen. Die Künstler*Innen Roberto Flores, Mariana Magdaleno, Jorge Gamboa und Christian Castaneda laden zum gemeinsamen Zeichnen ein.
Thursday, 04.08.2016 at 5pm Drawing workshop with FERAL (neurotitan)
The Nuestro Barrio guest artists from the collective FERAL from Mexico City are united by primarily using the medium of drawing. They exceed the conventional limits of drawing and expand the medium towards experimental experiences in the gallery space. The artists Roberto Flores, Mariana Magdaleno, Jorge Gamboa and Christian Castaneda invite you to a collective drawing session.
Dienstag, 09.08.2016 um 18.00 Uhr Workshop KRITISCHES KARTIEREN (neurotitan)
Das Kollektiv * zeigt, wie Stadtkarten als praktisches Werkzeug genutzt werden können, um die herrschende Wahrnehmung von urbanen Räumen in Frage zu stellen, alternative Visionen von gesellschaftlichem Zusammenleben sichtbar zu machen oder sie sogar zu ermöglichen. In dem Kartierungs-Workshop werden wir gemeinsam künstlerische und politische Impulse aus Mexiko auf den Berliner Stadtraum visualisieren.

The collective * shows how city maps can be used as a practical tool to question the prevailing perception of urban spaces, to make alternative visions of social coexistence visible or realize them. In the mapping workshop we will project artistic and political inputs from Mexico onto the Berlin cityscape.
